I'm a very positive person...out going...like to help others... but I lack taking initiative...I always wait someone else to take initiative and then I join and help them..How to improve myself on this?

In my personal lore I have know that the Classic Period (200 A.D - 900/1000 A.D.) is named after the "Classic" archaeology of Rome and Greece, meaning the peak of civilization. Is this true? If so, please post the references (bibliografical or online) and who introduced the term in Mesoamerica. Thank you!!!!!

How do i stand up to a bully? It's not necessarily this one person that I am worried about. I am just wondering about in general. I am a very outgoing, not really the typical victim of bullying, but im short in 8th grade. I don't know how to deal with bullies in general. People tell me to tell a teacher, to avoid the situation, or just stand up to the bully. I dont know what to do! I don't want to be picked on 4 the rest of my life! I also dont want my a.s.s kicked. HELP PLEASE!

I am no longer afraid of that man -- I am just afraid it will happen again....I look at everyone - men mainly as potential attackers - I am always jumpy and paranoid that it will happen to me again -- I have intense fear about it -- I can't be home alone I just freak out. Does anyone else go through this -- what did you do to help it -- I am seeing a doctor about it on Thursday....should I go on meds?

Ever since i was little, i've always picked fuzz of blankets. I still will have a fleece blanket and find a way to make fuzz balls and then rub it in between my fingers. I think independence means much more than living outside of your parents house...it encompasses all areas in your life such as being "independant" in your way of thinking and your actions and not succumbing to the pressures of society/peers; being able to support yourself financial; being able to feel emotional secure with yourself; relying on yourself and no one else; and the list goes on. I love dreaming sometimes I can't wait to go to sleep so I can dream and when I wake up I feel disapointed because it's over and it seems so short but if it's a good dream i feel good all day...anyway I love to dream I feel like I'm in control or something I wish I could stay in a dream state forever.
