I know there are different attachment styles.
Secure (the best)
Avoidant (distant/cold)
Anxious (clingy people)
Disorganized (a mix)

But why are some people so unresponsive to others? even when they are in a safe environment (eg. being looked after)

I have such a hard time relating to those people. I guess because I fall more into the anxious style lol but I always wondered why they are so unresponsive.

I am just wondering how many people who use computers a lot feel like you try really really hard, but just get ignored?

P.S. No, i am not unappreciated, i feel like i get everything i want. Which sounds kinda jerky, but I'm serious.

I have SAD (not sad as in not happy) and I some times have a hard time dealing with what people think and how they look at me. I love to be myself but when meeting new people(hardly ever) it's very hard for me to do. Most of the time I keep my mind on something else and try to say as little as possible. I just want to know how to deal with it better so I can quit feeling embarrased about myself when I'm around big crowds and so I can talk more and worry less. Plus I'd love to hear comments from people who actually have it too.

I have major social issues. I have a hard time talking to even close friends and family. I am usually quiet and boring. But, there is one person i know that can bring the "adventurous" and "fun" part out of me, i have fun with her, she has fun with me (which is rare because no one has fun with me)....Here's the thing, my boyfriend doesn't bring this out in me. In fact, i sort of get depressed around him because he is the depressed type and so am i, but yet i care for him...does this mean he is not right for me? if he doesn't bring the fun parts out of me, or does the relationship just get better? i'm so confused (sorry this is so damn long)

I wear contacts frequently but yesterday I decided to wear glasses to give my eyes a break. And whoa I forgot what I look like with glasses. I look and feel ugly and horrible in these! In contacts I felt and looked pretty and stuff. Well I'm out of contacts and don't get to see the doc till next month.

Why is this? Am I as ugly and horrible looking as I think I do in these glasses?

The longer the answer the better, because i'm writing an essay on this topic for my sociology class and I do not know much about what to write...any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

About the question, we're supposed to examine the similarities & differences between the two.

I just happen to be in love. I have thought I was in love twice before, but the feeling completely went away after about a year. Now I feel even deeper in love, but I'm afraid it's going to die out one day. I know that the feelings I get are all chemical reactions. How do you make it last? Why do people fall so hard, and than ...

How we have to cope with the coming problems is the usual theme, rather than how we can change our ways and become less consumeristic; wasteful of resources and polluting, in an effort to minimise the problem?

...It seem that the ideal that this is the way it is and there is nothing we can do about it, is the only thought-pattern being promoted. Is money really worth more to us than the natural world we live in? Where are we going to take the money to buy food, when the earth is too sick to produce any more?

Why do I feel like nothing works out for me? People like me, but for some reason I feel that they are thiniking otherwise. My new puppy doesn't even like me anymore. I just feel bad about myself and like people and animals can sense these vibes from a million miles away. How can I accept myself and be happy again?

Guys can walk around shirtless. If a woman does its against the law and she can be arrested. If every woman stated walking around shirtless it would be a shock at first, but would then fade into something else.. comments? Agree?

I keep having dreams about a former loved one (not a dead one) but i kept seeing this person in my dreams nd I hven't had contact wit this person in 6+ months. Could this person be thinking about me and I could be sub-consuially thinking bout this person, making this person want me to know how they feel? I know, Iknow it's complicated.

I often dream that I'm trying to go to the bathroom and there are people around when I need to go. Like...the bathroom is in a public area with no stalls and all I want is privacy. Weird, I know. And a lot of the time the toilet is either too small or overflowing or something weird besides just a normal toilet. Really freaky. What does this mean?

Yup...here I am without an aim in life, I simply live....and...well....live. I mean live...just going to school, back home, homeworks, internet, sleep....quite monotone. Sometimes I make it more spicey with acool book...but still...I have no idea what am I doing here....breathing and stealing your air. and I don't really like to think ogf my future because I know for sure that I'll be a homeless jobless dirty stinky beggar who will be drunk always, alcoholist->depressive->suicide->end
So what do you think....what should I do?
only as details: no brothers/sisters, no bf/gf, no friends at all, no pets (but I was thinking to buy a guineea pig), no religion, no feelings (ok...a bit way too atheistic...I think I'll have to change this first).

Any suggestions?

I've been having this dream everyone once in a while for the past couple of years. The crumble, they fall out, they're loose, all different cases. Also, I can't quite put my finger on it but sometimes I have like a mouthful of gum or maybe its just enlarged gums...where its just all over my teeth and i'm constantly trying to get it off.

heres his description
agressive,he can get crazy over a little thing,is a
"pathological"jelous-huband, he thinks his wife is cheatin, he dont trust nobody, he always thinks people want all bad for him, lets say "little bit" paranoid.he was in jail when he was a teenager for stabbing someone who died because of it.he is taking drugs (heroin etc.).he grew up without a father but his childhood wasn´t bad (had his mom always behind him).people are afraid of him (even his mother) particularly when he is drunk. he was beating his mom when he was drunk, his wife (because he was jelous).teaching his children to fight the enemy, to be violent when it comes to fight for right.he looks like a monster when he is angry, his eyes are demonic/satanic dunno how to describe it.
-he is very inteligent, plays guitar, sings, wrote poems, loves his wife & son,he reads much,he is very smart.people love him, hes a "wunderkind".
CAN this kind of person have a mental problem?
