what are the manes of plains tribes and northren tribes?

The manes of plains tribes tend to be thick and gathered close to the head because of the strong winds coming down through the Dakotas.

The manes of northern tribes tend to be thin. That allows more hair per square inch of head, thus providing more insulation against the cold.

Very interesting question.
