i ask this because i have had some weird things happen to me like one time i had msn messenger running and i walked into the kitchen to get me a drink. now my computer speakers were turned of and it was in my room. well when i was walking back to my room i thought i heard the "someone just logged in sound" and i was like whoa. when i walked into my room and looked at my computer someone else was logged in that wasnt when i went to get my drink. Also sometimes i think about what might happen in the future (like a few days or hours in the future). well sometimes what i think actually happens and it has this insane feeling of deja vu. if there is a way to tap into psychic abilities i really want to know

I dont know where to put this so im putting it in psychology

lately I have been having horrible dreams that bad things are happening to people I care about. I never had nightmares before, adn I don't know why I am getting them now. It is bothering me so much, I have this bad feeling all day like something terrible is going to happen. How can I get a decent night's sleep without waking up from these dreams?

As a teenager, I went through a stage that ended up with me getting into trouble with the law. I got caught, served the sentance, and as a result changed my behaviour very much for the better.

Since then I have led a responsible and happy life. I do not want to trivialise my past actions, but they were hardly the most serious acts of criminal behaviour and did not cause suffering to other people.

Now, 20 years later, feelings of guilt about what I did have returned, along with nightmares in which I did not reform but continued down the path that I was heading and getting very much worse.

Why might this be?

I think the main thing the author adds to the lecture is the debate over emotions and Christians. I never really thought this topic would cause a debate. I think that we can use the lessons in the bible to control our emotions, but regardless of if you’re a sinner or a saint those emotions are there. You can repress them and not act on them, but they are there. To me the key is being in charge of your emotions. As far as anger goes I have personally come along way. I don’t know if it is a part of growing older and wiser, but I find myself asking questions before I get angry. If I think someone is being rude, I may confront them in a respectful way to understand where they are coming from, and usually you find they didn’t mean to come across that way. My biggest issue is that I truly try to be respectful to everyone around me, it is how I was raised, so if someone is not acting like I think is the right way I look at them as arrogant. For instance if I am at a ballgame I am not going to stand up if someone is behind me and block there view. To me that is common sense. Well go to a game and see how many times someone will stand up in front of you. In the past I would be rude, but I have learned with age that it likely that they aren’t meaning to be rude, they are just really not conscious of their surroundings. Now as far as road rage, I got a lot of growing up to do…

My hubby and I have some really great friends- but, upon recently going to their home for a little get-together...I was asked to remove my shoes. It was cold, I had no socks on, I had powder on my feet, and I just felt it was demeaning. Especially when I told her I had nothing on my shoes, and held one up, and she said, "I know what my yard is like". Granted, she went and got me some socks- but, because of health problems, it's difficult to even get my shoes on... and these had laces. How can someone who is usually so kind and considerate ask me to do this? I can understand my kids... I rent, too, but, I don't make her do that. Talking to her won't help. I can't change her- she even makes her husband do it. Some may say to quit going over there, but, they are our friends. And, even if I would decline, my hubby would not. Is it rude, or not? To ask us to take our shoes off. If i had been wearing slip-on,'s, and had pretty feet- it wouldn't have bothered me as badly.

Very, very strange.

I have a sudden and strong desire to start smoking. Now this is weird, because i'm 17 years old, live in a town just outside of a biiiiig city in the UK, and i've never had any pressure from my friends to smoke. In fact, almost NONE of them do! Those that do want to quit, it's not considered cool... my parents smoke roll-ups/joints, but they've never pressured me to, and for some reason i've just got a really strong desire to start smoking pre-made ciggies! I can't get over how weird this is - i'm very anti-smoking, I think it makes your breath stink, it gives you wrinkles and makes your teeth yellow, it's *so* gross, but for some reason I want to start smoking *so* bad!

C'mon guys, help me out here... WTF?

i was think so, but i see that i am in wrong, even in west women treated too bad, they just try to show that women are equal rights with men but it is not true.
men always have more chances than women in their life, and culture and society alwasy give them more right.

Slavery happened 200 years ago. Move on. The jews were executed in the 1940's and they dont say anything about it. I'm just so sick of white people being accused as racist, and everything we do is racist.

Enjoy the welfare minorities! Thats hard-working white peoples' money!

I am no longer interested in the things that I used to be interested in.
I no longer enjoy doing the things that I used to enjoy doing.
I am not interested in trying new things.

I hate feeling this way. I do virtually nothing all day long.

How can I deal with this on my own, aside from seeking counseling? (Note: I am opposed to the usage of psychiatric medications for myself.)

Do you think we should beat up every one who doesn't agree with us until they see it our way or the hiway and we all become friends and sleep in the same bed?
