lately I have been having horrible dreams that bad things are happening to people I care about. I never had nightmares before, adn I don't know why I am getting them now. It is bothering me so much, I have this bad feeling all day like something terrible is going to happen. How can I get a decent night's sleep without waking up from these dreams?

Have you been sleep deprived lately? When our bodies lack sleep the REM cycles that we experience several times on a nightly basis can overlap or crowd each other causing nightmares. You might try going to bed earlier and don't anticipate or worry yourself about having nightmares. Thoughts before sleep can sometimes influence the subject matter of what we actually dream. Take a warm bath before bed, and try some mind clearing meditation as you lay relaxed in bed. Lastly, before you fall asleep, try giving yourself the suggestion that you will be aware of when you are dreaming. This is called "lucid dreaming" and with practice, some people are able to control their actions within dreams. Good luck & sweet dreams!

I think you have to be sure that those nightmares you had before were absurd and they have nothing to do with the reality of those you care about. Dreams, nightmares are just flowers from deep sleep. They are nonsensical and irrational. So far what had happened to those you care about? All fine and okay right? This is just gonna show you how dreams and nightmares are just flowers of deep sleep.

You really cannot get rid of dreams and nightmares at all cuz THEY who come to you, not you to them. So, when you have another nightmares, just relax, take a deep breath 5 times and say to yourself that dreams and nightmares are just surreal. Not real. They really have nothing to do with your real daily life whatsoever. Ensure yourself with this statement. And you'll gonna be okay afterwards.
