For thousands of years a woman needed to be given to a wealthy man to support her existing family and ensure a prosperous life for her kids in the future.
So yes, "gold digging" is an essential skill developed and past down by women.

No, we're not...but this kind of attitude can be a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you think that all women are gold diggers, that's all you'll get. BTW, has it not occurred to you that women may be more attracted to you for other reasons? Why does it HAVE to be the nice car and successful career? Are you saying that's all you have to offer? You haven't changed in any other way since school?

To some degree yes. Look this is just the way it is. How else can you explain the rock star syndrome? What girl would give mic jagger the time of day if he wasnt loaded.
I can not tell you how big a deal this is. Women marry men with money. Men marry based on looks. 100%? No of course not, but in general yes.
Larry King
Hugh Hefner
Gene Simmons
The list goes on and on...............
When I dated I had so many women that flat out asked what I did, what I drove, do I own or rent................
That is why you should get that pre-nup signed.

Maybe your choosing the wrong places to hang out. I don't believe all women are GoldDiggers, but if your going to places like bars or clubs, then thats what your going to find. Try going to places where the women are self sufficient and successful on their own. You will have more in common and feel more comfortable, and you won't have to be on your guard wondering what they want from you. But..with that being said......there are many women who will appreciate the fact that you bought your car because of a dream, who are also just simple hard working women. Good Luck !!!
Merry Christmas !!!

Well, not all women r gold-diggers, the problem starts with you.
You see probably back in your days you didn't have anything to show for, maybe didn't look to good either. So by that being said YOU didn't stand out.But now you have things going 4 u.Finished school got a good job and You shine! So its attractive. But one major key here is " If YOU act like a PIMP you will be treated like you r a PIMP. Be a little attuned to how you represent your self

Not ALL women are gold-diggers, but there are alot out there...
There are equal amount of crappy men out there too...
If you feel that you are really be overrun by gold-diggers, my suggestion is to lie a little, to test them...
Also go on a dating site, and don't reveal how much you make, and just underscore what you do...
For example: If you own a business, tell them you work in whatever business you own, you aren't really lying, just not giving all the information...

No, there are those who actually want to be with a man for who they are as opposed to what they have. Anytime I've wanted something in my life I was the one responsible to obtain it. I can't speak for all women but when my husband & I got together we sold the big house, paid the bills, & are living a less stressful life as a result. I married him, not his income.
Enjoy the car that you've earned...you'll meet a nice woman & will put the rest of the crap in perspective.

It makes me sick to, because they are just perpetuating a stereotype of women that I absolutely hate. Not all women are like this, in fact I would venture to say that it is probably the less educated women that are more likely to be gold diggers.
I just finished a Master's program in Psychology, and I make more than my boyfriend, and I don't really care.

Sorry for the gold digging women you were introduced to seeing who gave you such a stereotypical view of all of us being that way. I, myself know that I'm busting my *** off working hard trying to accomplish things for myself so I don't have to have a man or anyone else for that matter take care of me because I never want to become a gold digger or give anyone the perception that I am one.

Isn't it interesting that Men see women as being attractive when they are at the age best suited to give birth. While Women see men as being attractive when they are in the best position to support a family. Is that shallow of us or is it one of those self evident Realities of life that we almost never think about because we take it so for granted?

I guess you just don't know where to look. I met my boyfriend online. At the time, he was unemployed, and I was the one working. Even now, he makes less than me and I pay most of the bills.
If ALL WOMEN are gold-diggers, I must have missed that class in college!
