No. It is not a warning of any kind. It is not even a sixth sense.

Some people think it is a psychic thing, others do not. I kinda think it is a reliving of past live event if for just a moment.
Here's a peice of an article on Deja Vu from Wikipedia
The term "déjà vu" (French for "already seen", also called paramnesia) describes the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously. The term was coined by a French psychic researcher, Émile Boirac (1851–1917) in his book L'Avenir des sciences psychiques (The Future of Psychic Sciences), which expanded upon an essay he wrote while an undergraduate French concentrator at the University of Chicago. The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eerieness", "strangeness", or "weirdness". The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience "genuinely happened" in the past. Déjà vu has been described as "Remembering the future".
The experience of déjà vu seems to be very common; in formal studies 70% or more of the population report having experienced it at least once. References to the experience of déjà vu are also found in literature of the past, indicating it is not a new phenomenon. It has been extremely difficult to invoke the déjà vu experience in laboratory settings, therefore making it a subject of few empirical studies, recently researchers have found ways to recreate this sensation using hypnosis.[1]

In the last few years deja vu was explained as a short circuit in the electrical system of the brain. This makes sense. I believe in psychic abilities but, personally, I don't think deja vu falls into that.

I was experiencing daja'vu quite often in my life and decided to try and evaluate it. At one point I thought I was close to figuring it out, by means of auto-fill. Our brains work much faster than our bodies and rational thoughts process, so I thought that when experiencing a familiar sound, place, or person, our brains leaped forward, filling in the blanks. "Auto-filling" Sometimes when you smell a certain food, or hear certain sound, it instantly brings out a time & or place in your life, bringing out emotions, without thought. Seemed to me I had finally had a scientific reason to explain it, until I started paying more attention to it. I did my best to let them play out without interrupting them and 100% of the time I knew exactly what the other party was going to say, making my theory highly unlikely. Our brains may be faster than our rational thought process and fill in the blanks very often in our daily lives, but it cannot fill in the blanks for others.

deja vu is not really a warning sign... it's more of something you need to take into consideration and see what it means...esp realating to your life.
