Worldwide women face abuse, assault, violence, and oppression and have fewer opportunities. In many countries women find themselves in a lower social and economical position then men. They have to cover up while men can walk in shorts; they face heavy violence and even death when they have sex without being married while men usually can do what ever they want. Even in the west, women often find themselves on a lower position than men. They for instance earn less for the same job, they are rejected for employment because of being a woman, and when they have 'illegitimate sex' they are seen as sluts while men who hop around are cool, etc. Why is this?

Well its no secret that though women are treated much better nowadays than in the past and we HAVE proved ourselves capable of coping with almost anything thrown our way, but saying that men and women are treated as equals would be a downright lie. If you could change something bout the way we are treated to make ourselves feel like we are treated with the respect that we deserve and as equals and not lower or less important than men, what would it be?

In reference to my last question, I have another one. Here is the last question:
I would like a Christian perspective on this issue, preferably from mature Christians.
I am a college student who was abused by my step dad as a child. Recently he has repented and given his life over completely to God. He is in therapy and has become the kind of person I wish he could have been when I was growing up. My mom has decided to stay with him now. I am wondering what to do now. I dont hate him but I dont want to be around him. I dont want to see my family fall apart because I cant move on, but I dont want to keep being the one who falls through the cracks. I really dont know what to do. To make matters worse my soon to be fiance is sinking into overwhelming depression over this situation and I feel torn by everyones needs and wants. There seems to be no resources for this particular issue and I could use some sound advice. I am in therapy as well so no need to suggest that.

This happens frequently (many nights already)... When I'm about to fall asleep, usually nearing dreaming stage, I "see" a flash of light with my eyes closed. It's as if a strong white light was flashed right before my eyes, then I'm jolted awake and I open my eyes, but there's nothing. It happens only once a night, then I fall asleep after that... I sleep with no lights on, so there's no real light there; the weather's never like there was a lightning outside my window either. I'm wondering if it comes with the "alpha", "beta", etc. stages of sleep, and if anyone else experiences it.

I wrote a question yesterday about how I thought women deserve to have "choice" in the matter of their pregnancy, however I do not believe in abortion after the brain and nerves begin to develop (about 2 months into the pregnancy). Many women responded that abortion should be banned and some said a woman should have total choice over what to do with her body. I would like to ask the people who think women deserve total control how they justify killing something that: kicks, dreams, sucks it thumb, have nerves and phsyical feelings, among other things...I mean, don't you think this is wrong? I understand how women deserve a right to choose (before the fetus can think it is basically a growing bunch og organs) but once it can THINK, it is a human being in my book. I want to know how people justify killing something that can think and has feelings...

I ask this question because the problem of the world's orphans seems to great and overwhelming that I would like to know where is the greatest need. I would very much love to start an orphanage; this has been a dream of mine for years. And the pragmatist in me wants to know which country has the worst problem of orphans in the poorest conditions, thereby directing me to start one there. I would like to go where the problem is the worst. I would feel as though I were doing my best to contribute in some small way therefore by going where the problem is the worst. I would really appreciate any insights into the global pandemic. I know Central America (specifically Guatemala), East Africa (specifically Kenya) and India are at the top for orphan population. But more specific and authoritative information would be incredibly helpful. Thank you so much!

Once someone with some knowledge, experience and expertise could answer this question for me, I would like to solicit others to join force

so when kids get bad grades in school is it really because they are dumb or its their own choice. i mean is it possible for everyone (leaving out the mentally challenged and similar people in this question) to be smart? there is more than one way to teach somebody something so everyone has an opportunity to learn. so my thesis is "are people doing bad in school because of their brains or because of their choices?"

,richer, better looking, more educated, faster,,more sexy, better, better, better. The truth is it does not make us a better human being. Nothing we do or say or think we know does that. We need to stop competeing against each other and get along. We even compete with our different religions thinking ours is the right one.We are basically in the dark and afraid to be the same.We have to dominate over others and thats wrong. The wise man realises how little he really knows including me.We need to get rid of ego and seperateness and realise we are all parts of the same puzzle.United we stand divided we fall.We have a truth and moral compass within if we take the time to listen. It is alright to not know everything We are hear to learn and one of lessons is we dont know squat. and thats o.k.
