I have heard that America is known for having an anti-intellectual attitude, but there must be places that have anti-intellectual attitudes as well. Which countries have these attitudes and which don't?

me and my mate, we really hate chav's so much.

so how could we become chavs - bear in mind that we both dress smartly, wear black shoes, and we're both highly educated people?

is it possible that we could learn to be a chav?

$5.a hour for 40 hours is only $200. Then taxes is taken out. Then they pay for gas to get to work if no public transportation, maintenaince on the car, auto insurance, health insurance, rent, utilities, food. Most don't have health care, how could they? Even at this wage, working 80 hours a week. With a trade $10. a hour, vetinarian $20. a hour. So much for college. Poverty. living on credit, why isn't the minimum wage being raised? So a few in big business can drive around in cars that cost more then these people make in a year. What's wrong with this picture?

I am forever meeting men who need to be told by a female that their penises are large even when its obvious they are not. I do not even like large ones in any case. Where is psychology on this?

Im talking here about the left hemisphere which controls logic and the right which controls creativity. Are these controls reversed in left handed people, so that the left controls creativity and the right controls logic?

me and this guy has been on/off for going on almost 2 yrs. in the beginning i was a bit too controlling/distant and in turn he thought i was dramatic/uncaring. he also had tendencies to just be moody and talk about how hot other women were, just to "make me care" (he said).also many times our debates would lead to arguments bc he's very firm in his beliefs and so am i, but he tends to get defensive easily and lose his temper. so i would dump him and get back together bc he begged. we've been up/down to the point of our parents/friends disliking us dating, and even suggesting couple's counseling, which i would try (but he doesn't want to).we used to be serious after we somehow fixed our problems (around the 8th month) but then i took a 5month break with him bc i left school for awhile, and now we're on/off but this time he dumps me anytime i try to confront him at all.i love him and he says he loves me.
could we have emotional disorders?

I find it to be insulting to all women when a woman demeans herself by acting incompetent. I admire all the women who have ever served in the armed forces...They are women, but know that they are also strong.

I'm a small business owner and I need to hire 2 people for my business. In fact my business needs these 2 people to stay in business. I know I can afford to hire these 2 people at 6 dollars each. I hire 2 people who are high school drop outs and this is the only job they can find. They make the choice to work for me. I get the help I need and they get good experience for their resume. I expect them to use this job to aquire skills that will help them get a better paying job. In other words I expect them to use this job as a hand up. If minimum wage is increased to $7.00 I can only afford to hire one person. But I need 2 to run my business so I have to go out of business. Now I'm hurt because I no longer have a business and the two people I had employed are hurt because they no longer have a job. What do they do now? How is a minimum wage increase good for our country??

Is being a feminist like having a complex like ( Napolean complex, or the big man complex are just two examples)

I mean we all get along fine here but some people just arent happy and can't stop complaining

I know Feminism is a noble thing at it's rotes: equality among both sexes not based on gender.

but instead of equality they seem more focused on making men out like pigs and saying that we are different.. which really is just hypocritical and conterproductive

so is the feminist movement a waste of time and simplie an immature sisterhood agains men ( man hatters, sexist)

I had a dream that me and my mother in law (who really dislikes me, and is jealous of the time I spend with her sister/ex husband/son, anyone) were sitting on swings on the beach on my wedding day. She had that alcoholic tremor thing happening (she is an alcoholic) and was saying I understand my son doesnt like me and that it isnt you but waht do i do to get him back? and was really really upset by it.
A bit of background, at our wedding she caused quite a scene, and called a few weeks ago yelling at me for stealing her son and her family, then my husband took the phone and told her it wasnt me that didnt like her it was him and to f''' off. The dream has kind of disturbed me coz it was kind of emotional. Anyone got any analysis' for me or ideas?

Like finding out you're not getting the job that you have been interviewing for awhile on, or your mate gets up and leaves you, or your car won't start, or you just can't get all of the cream of mushroom soup out of the can even when you use a spatula (LOL)?
