Itdepends on your age I'd say or your maturity, if you are still in the teen years and upwards to 30 if male I'd say it's just because you have this inner rebelious streak that you just wont bow down to, if you are older than 30, male or female and stil behaving like this I'd say your a difficult type of person and may be viewed as tiresome by those who know you simply because you rebel against everything that is good or right for you at the time. Chill out a bit sometimes it's good to take others advice. Try it.

because you are human. even although you know you are wrong you do not want to give the other person the satisfaction of being right. I don't know how many times i have done that and i know how much it hurts and YET i still pick that option sometimes cos it is easier than backing down and losing face. sad or what?

hey u wouldnt be a man by any chance would u???? that was a joke soz hun my sad female sense of humour. basically its a question of pride. sometimes we act on impulse without actually giving enough thought and time to suss out the situation. we save ourselves the embarrassment of having to say "oops sorry i acted on impulse and am wrong" maybe coz we'd feel silly if we showed our true thoughts and feelings too.

Welcome to the club.
I'm still struggling with keeping my big mouth shut after all these years.
It's getting easier, though.
