I had a dream that me and my mother in law (who really dislikes me, and is jealous of the time I spend with her sister/ex husband/son, anyone) were sitting on swings on the beach on my wedding day. She had that alcoholic tremor thing happening (she is an alcoholic) and was saying I understand my son doesnt like me and that it isnt you but waht do i do to get him back? and was really really upset by it.
A bit of background, at our wedding she caused quite a scene, and called a few weeks ago yelling at me for stealing her son and her family, then my husband took the phone and told her it wasnt me that didnt like her it was him and to f''' off. The dream has kind of disturbed me coz it was kind of emotional. Anyone got any analysis' for me or ideas?

my book says that--there might be deeper undercurrents in your subconcious that might mean you are very sensitive to the real *messages being put out by people----according to the book--the mom in law is probably very emotionally troubled and might be helped by some counseling---this attatchment to the son is very unhealthy ----also the book says that you might help best by sending good thoughts or prayers her way (even though you dont get along) -----try to be supportive to your husband and help him work through his feelings--he might be helped by a little counseling himself----to release dysfunction from past--regarding his mom.......good luck

The swing represents your mother in law's total disregard for behaving appropriately. The beach represents the boundaries of your own space and that it seems that even when she is not there, her presence and intrusion into your lives is always there.
Your mother-in-law sounds like she may be mentally ill. Your husband is the only one that can affect a change in the situation.

Maybe subconscously, she wants help? I had a dream last night that there was a nurse that was absolutely evil and cruel. Weird thing was, she looked like my math teacher, who is by far my nicest teacher. Oh, and she lived in a large treehouse (the nurse in the dream -not my teacher ;D)
