I have to get a tetanus shot and a flu shot very soon.and I am really scared. I try to relax, but as soon as I get to the office where the shot is going to be given, I just freak out. Its all I can think about. I get really nervous, and it ends up being a huge thing. How can I relax? What should I do? Are the shots going to hurt bad? I am scared because I have to get both the same day, and I hate needles. Help me please.

Especially in high school...Sadly, sometimes it's even like this in the real world as well. Answer me this: Usually when a girl is a "dork" or is mean or shy but mind-blowingly gorgeous, nobody will care because her looks make up for her "geekiness." Yet if an unattractive girl is also a "dork" or mean or shy than most people will result to making fun of her or ignoring her. Why do people do this? Shy, pretty girls still get approached. Shy, ugly girls never do. I'm just questioning: why? If you have another argument, tell me!

What are the moral qualms that base our moral inquisition on addiction. These days, in addition to all of the regular, real addictions, we have the inclusion of "soft addictions", such as an addiction to shopping, or television.
I mean for this to also question our societal opposition (especially as of these last few years) to regular old addictions. What is wrong with the addiction itself if the addict enjoys it? After all, the unbearable lows that come with addiction also come with comparatively fantastic highs. If a person decides that the highs of said addiction make the lows worth dealing with, then why is it such a problem?
My basic question here is this: What moral authority do those who oppose addictive behaviors/substances have to impose their will on those who disagree with their holier-than-thou hypothesis? Why is addiction such a shameful thing. After all, addiction only causes pain to the addict himself. Emotional pain to family, etc. is not a morally justifiable reason

In a study of men's and women's sexual arousal, heterosexual men were more aroused, bothe subjectively and genitally, by films showing female-to-female sexual activity, whereas homosexual men were more arroued by films of male-to-male sexual activety.

By contrast, both heterosexual and homosexual women tended to be strongly aroused by viewing either male-to-male or female-to-female sexual activity.

This suggests that the relationship between sexual orientation and sexual arousal is different in women then in men (Chivers, Rieger, & Bailey, 2004

so why do you think girls say that two men is disgusting.. are they lying deep down or is it that sexually they are interested by mentally they are not..

and isn't this contradicting... I mean, porn is marketed to men and romance stories to women?

I'm extremely shy, and i want desperately to be a camp counselor, but first i need to be an LIT, which is basically a junior counselor who is expected to be very nice and interested in the kids, friendly with the counselors, and basically a full on outgoing people person. I like kids, and i am pretty good with them, my only problem is being outgoing and good with children when people are watching, and also because the competition is really big, a lot of really good counselor material people are going to be there next year, and if i'm like how i normally am i wouldnt have any chance of making it. I really just need help on how to be outgoing and counselor-y... i'd say that i have asperger tendencies, like if i were to pick the closest disorder thingy, and i tend to miss social cues. I can't seriously say that i would be able to wing it, but i might be able to learn to be outgoing and fun in a good way, does anyone have and suggestions?

Do you believe that telekinesis is real? Can one harness the brain power to do it? If you don't think it is real, can you give a coherent scientific explanation for it? However keep in mind, there are many things in this world that cannot yet be explained by science. So, let me know what you think!
