Yes, you as well as everyone is affected by internal and external problems. We as individuals have to focus ourselves on the benifits that a diploma will bring; forcing ourselves to concentrate. I found that it was fun to learn new things and even now in retirement, seek to learn new things.

Set up a reward system for yourself. Make it something that you really enjoy doing so that when you complete what you need to do, the reward is waiting for you. It may help get you motivated. Once you feel successful, that should continue to empower you to keep the positive things going. Not all of us are great at studying...but it will help you get what you want in life. Set up goals that are attainable and reach for them!!

I think the worst part of doing something we don't like to do is the dread that is caused during the time we are putting it off...makes the task seem much worse than it is. Get it started as soon as you get home, even if it's only opening the book, getting the pencil and reading the first question or ?

Make a schedule that's realistic. Start off with light load and reward yourself after each task is done. Get a nerd friend who will hopefully enforce your schedule.
