Rationalization - Stevie must be having a nasty assed lonely Saturday night with no action to have reacted that way, OR it's a reaction formation and he really likes the question OR he's in denial about how truly stupid he seems when he acts that way.

Rationalization: I'm not responding to your question because I'm bored on a Saturday night, I'm responding to your question in effort to help you with you problem and I am correct in doing so because any good person would be helpful.

Reaction Formation: Oh wow, how much fun I'm having in answering your question!

Denial: Oh I'm very entertained by answering your question, I'm not bored at all.

rationalization: "I get drunk every night because my roommates will make fun of me if I don't."
reaction formation: when you don't get along with your best friend's girlfriend/boyfriend who is really hot and knows when to shut up
denial: Your friend says, "I don't smoke too much pot," when in reality he smokes four bongs, two joints, and a bowl at least once a day.
