I need some serious help here, i'm really confused...

I need the equilibrium interest rate I(r)

here is the given information:

Y = C + I + G
Y = 5,000
G = 1,000
T = 1,000
C= 250 + .75(Y - T)
I = 1,000 - 50r

According to my textbook,
Y - C(Y - T) - G = I(r)

so:
5000 - 250 + .75(5000 - 1000) - 1000 = I(r)
=5000 - 250 + 3000 - 1000
=4750 + 2000
=6750

doesn't make sense...

and then i'm not even sure if i have to do this or not but i tried it

set that equal to the given I which is 1000 - 50r

6750 = 1000 - 50r

subtract 1000 =

6750 = -50r

divide by -50

= -135... whats going on here please give me some help...

By increasing the the health and thus life expectancy of humans are we not just setting ourselves up for future problems. With more people on the planet, more jobs will be needed, more homes will be needed, more food will be needed, thus leading to more deforestation and use of the planets resources. Shouldn't we therefore be focusing money and research on improving quality of life rather than longevity! Furthermore, with more people on the planet we will become more stressed due to overcrowding and overcrowding is more likley to allow diseases/viruses to spread more rapidly, thus killing off more of human life!!

I have always been shy and lacking confidence throughout my life, but over the past few years I have noticed it is getting worse. I have tried various counselling and therapy sessions in the past without any luck. I have also tried getting involved with clubs/activities, each time promising myself that I am going to make more of an effort to talk to people, but each time I fail. The longer I present myself as shy, the harder it becomes to escape that persona! Does anyone have any ideas how I can overcome my lacking of confidence and shyness. I am 28 and I really need to do something before I begin regretting that I have allowed my life to pass away.

With Iraq, his administration fabricated and/or twisted false reports of WMD's and ties to Al Queda, and the fact that Saddam is unkind to his people into a vaild reason for us to 'liberate' Iraq...

With North Korea, it is a know (and flaunted) fact that they have nuclear capabilities and are more than willing to use them, and Kim Jong is a childish madman who is inkind to his people...

Why then is he insisting that we solve this with 'diplomacy'?

Hint: One-word answer, starts with 'O', ends with 'L'...Iraq has plenty, North Korea has none...

Whenever there is a problem even a small little problem my mom likes to have an audience to complain. I think it's so immature. Like what happened today. My 6 year old sister was eating soup and I asked if we have a granola bar. My sister kept asking for one too and my mom got mad, blamed me and made a big deal out of it. Then she started telling her sister, "Ohh she did that" like I did someone reall bad. She has nothing else to talk about. It's so freaking annoying and it pisses me off.

This is going to sound absurd. I'm afraid I killed somebody.
I suffer severe obsessive-compulsive disorder, I'm very disabled from it. I can't even go to school.

I've been delusioned into thinking I've killed people or tried to kill people since I was 12 (I'm 16 now). It's very scary, and I wish it would stop, but I can't convince myself I'm not guilty of murder.

This disease is clever (I hope it is!). One time I had this nightmare that I choked this kid to death somewhere, and last night I thought I had a "memory flash" which I'm hoping is a false memory, it probably is, that I had killed someone for real (back when I was 14 or 15). I can't remember what I was thinking about after this flash of memory, but my mind is telling me it wasn't good.

Can somebody please tell me I'm crazy? My god, this is tearing me apart, I don't know what to do. I can't trust my memory. Did I do something awful to block this out? I'm a good person, I can't be a killer?

Is it possible to move beyond what others feel is best for you and look under every rock until you find what you are happy with? Pertaining to Life, Love, Work, Religion? I know it is....But oppression seems to haunt me...I gotta do what I gotta do.....And I have only myself to blame...I allowed momentary lack of reasoning to cloud my ultimate vision for myself. Accountability is one thing...Brushing the dust from my garments and forgiving trespasses is another...Whew!! Liberation!!

In a war zone in africa, the local people hang thier crying babies cribs on nearby trees on the outskirts of the village so as not to give thier position away to waring factions and gunman.
This way the babies learn not to cry when hungry and so condition the children to stay quite. can you tell me the name of the tribe and in what area in africa does this occur

It first became prominent at the Battle of Staligrad and soon after at the Battle of Berlin during WWII. It affected child soldiers in both Russian and German armies ( ie Hitler Youth). Does anyone know the clinical German name and which source can be referenced.
