I have just seen an advert for a loaf of bread with the crusts already cut off to save you busy people the bother! I'm flabbergasted. I never got the the 'ready chopped veg' thing either. Have we REALLY got so little time that we need to buy these things? And at a ridiculously inflated price.!
What is the 'time saving' product that came on the market that made you think... "This can't be real, are people REALLY so lazy that they will buy that?"

I was talking about motivation in schools with a person today and that person(a 'good student') said:
"Those mature and intelligent enough don't give a s**t about motivation and just do it."
Is this really what today's teenagers belive they should be doing? Conformity? Is it really mature to "just do" things you really don't care about? Disliking a subject but still have A's?
Is this type of conformity (still doing what we dislike for rewards) good outside of school? Are we easily satisfied?
Is it really intelligent to conform to what we think is wrong?
For example, knowing that the way teachers are teaching is not the most effective way to make me learn. Should I conform and "just do it", and then have the good grades just because those are demanded of us?

That person also said :"It's not what you want to learn, it's what educational experts determine should be the minimum knowledge an individual should have."

Do educational experts really know what they're doing?

Im sick of being perved on when i walk down the street or when im on the bus! It makes me feel sick when it old men doing it because im 17 and i look quite young for my age. Dont men like woman their own age nowadays? If it was their daughters it was happening to it would be a diffrent story! In modern society where do you think that notion comes from? He is an adult, just like her, so why that assumption is still living among us? Any ideas? Don't women think they don't want a child but a man to share their life? And aren't men tired of being treated like incompetent children?

Needing to vent, stick with me guys. Why do we place more importance and money on being entertained then the real things in life. Is it that we have such a bad lives that escapism is our only option? Why is it footballers are getting 20K a week and we are losing nurses, teachers, council workers who don't even get that in a year. ( I know, I know it's paid privately but it still makes you sick.
Yes, I am being bitter and it is a case of the green eyed goblin. I'm a teacher and can't even afford to buy a house and my wages have been cut by a fifth I found out today
If it was a choice between having your sick mother looked after, getting your children educated or a footy match which would you pick. Come on be honest......
