A lot of women feel that by becoming mothers they are complete,
somehow I already having 3 kids was not making me feel like I was done. I then thought that I needed to challenge myself, and the next best thing to being able to raise 3 kids, while making sure their homework is done , and driving back and forth in the city for all their basketball , volleyball, soccer, flagfootball games, plus attending school programs and surviving falls and scrapes here and there, was to get myself into the US Border Patrol Academy. This academy is one of the hardest academys in the US, second to the Navy Seals. Well , I thought " what the he** have I gotten myself into for 5 months" and all this was hundreds of miles away from my family in South Carolina. I was the oldest female in my class , the youngest was 14 years younger than me, plus there was a ratio of 5 women to every 50 men. I thought I would never do it. But I psyched myself and prayed to GOD everyday and just gave my 110%. I was in my 13th week out of 20 weeks of academy , I had passed my law, Spanish and Physical training midterms with flying colors. I was so happy and proud of myself then I thought, "if I can do this , then there's nothing I cant do!". Unfortunately on one of the Physical training programs I fractured my right knee and my left tibia, I had no other choice than to go back home. It was an expirience I will never forget, I came home a much stronger person. Now I feel complete.

I'm 52 and I thought I couldn't learn stuff..........but I'm getting pretty good on a pc.
I'm of a generation where IT wasn't taught in school and I've had a mental block about computers for years. So, I wouldn't say I'm immensely pleased, but I feel pleased. Also, I was terrified of water and it took me until I was 17 to get my swimming badge. Now that was really something.

last week! I thought I couldn't pass an exam because I had just too little time to study for it. But I did it anyway and pass it. :) It was a great feeling! I now feel that the only way who can know you can't do something is doing it! If you couldn't do it this time maybe you can next time! Or maybe I'm feeling to optimistic this week...

After months and months suffering and thinking 'What am I gonna do?', well, I cracked my laptop open. It's been giving me trouble and was really slow and I had no money to take it to somebody to fix it. So, I found out in the internet what the problem was and I leaned that it was pretty cheap and so easy to fix that I could do it myself. I still wasn't sure, but I did it and there was no going back. I cracked it open and fixed it. Now It is as good as new.

I traveled to China, by myself, leaving my husband and two small kids at home, to adopt my third child. I didn't think I could leave them for two weeks, and do the adoption myself, but I did! It changed my life and made me feel like I can do anything.
