I wouldn't start a conversation about war, politics or world hunger. but i would whisper lovingly in his ear and cuddle close to him.

We talk afterwards, sometimes for a few minutes and sometimes for an hour or more. It depends on if he has to go to work the next day or not, how tired we both are, etc. We also snuggle together. I usually stay snuggled with him until he falls asleep (doesn't take him long) and then get up and get cleaned up, etc.
Talking afterwards is a great way to connect. It's a loving gesture that the two of you can do for each other outside of making love/having sex. We get to bask in the afterglow together, and that is sooooooooooooooo wonderful to do! I have never had anyone else do this with me and it took me awhile to get used to it, but I am totally used to it now and wouldn't do it any different.

I prefer some pillow talk after. Usually flirty nothingness. I hate it when he tries to have a serious conversation though.

I prefer to talk during(sexy talk), then both fall asleep afterwards in each others arms totally satisfied.

Oh... I talk and talk and talk... and then discover he is happily snoring away.... which is fine. I wasn't really expecting an answer (grin)... I just let him know the next day what he agreed to while he was asleep...
