Whenever there is a problem even a small little problem my mom likes to have an audience to complain. I think it's so immature. Like what happened today. My 6 year old sister was eating soup and I asked if we have a granola bar. My sister kept asking for one too and my mom got mad, blamed me and made a big deal out of it. Then she started telling her sister, "Ohh she did that" like I did someone reall bad. She has nothing else to talk about. It's so freaking annoying and it pisses me off.

yup, every single one.

I have a hypothesis that the chemicals released during childbirth actually turn intelligent, logical women into highly unstable, illogical monsters.

another part of the hypothesis... i bet its only females who agree with you!

Well I will tell you this much, my mom was in a near fatal car accident a year ago, she died twice at the scene and once at the hospital. My mom was in the hospital for 54 days and on a ventilator for 45 of those days. Now. her voice is a whisper and she will never be the same. Would you like to change places? I think not. Remember to love and understand your mom. I nearly lost mine and want you to know that once they are gone they are gone forever. Be kind to your mom. I would love to hear my mom yell.

That's what mothers do. They never tell anyone about all the good stuff. (Well, unless it's huge). My mother was only annoying until I was 17. Then when I moved out on my own, she was great.

A parent that is a pain will always be a pain, even after you have kids of your own. Just be glad you have one that cares enough to fuss at you.

All mom's annoy their kids at some point, and all kids annoy their mom's as well. You just need to realize that she's not perfect and neither are you.

good luck with that. my mom has her occassional freak outs but usually keeps it calm. but it seems that maybe you could try a few things
- you could block it all out as white noise,
- you could confront her one day when she's calm and not in a frustrated mood and talk to her about it (she might respect your courage)
- or you could talk back to her when she does it (not recommended, it could get you deeper in)

good luck
