I was. Did you have to leave a light on? Did you think there were monsters under the bed or in the closet? How did you "protect" yourself and get to sleep?

Are there any things you can do really awful, like kill your own children or start a terrorist attack, that psychologists say no person has the ability to forgive? It's amazing the f***ed up things people can forgive, really, is there a limit to it?

Actually I find most people to be quite unforgiving (I'm quite a cynic on human beings in general, LOL), understandably for things like murder, but you have people that think Hitler had redeeming qualities, even though his regime killed millions, including children for Christ's sake.

I mean it's not like you actually win anything or gain anything other than some crappy points?! Sure there are some great, serious, interesting, insightful questions asked - I love those ones too but c'mon people! Some of us do like to lighten up and ask and reply to stupid, funny questions - where are they all!!! if you dont then simply dont answer it! Easy as that! What does everyone else think?

Is it that highly intelligent people are more likely to question things and be less dogmatic, and therefore are less likely to believe in literal translations of texts such as the Bible? Is it because logical and analytical thinking leads (with an open mind free from religious brain-washing/emotional attachment) to the rejection of the notion of omnipotent beings and heaven and hell? Whilst many religious people are undoubtedly intelligent, I believe that perhaps strong emotion/attachment can override or affect certain cognitive functions and so therefore the emotional significance of religion becomes the dominant force, not reason. For example when people are really angry or completely in love, they are more prone to loss of reasoning ability. Experience working within mental health has exposed me to the link between extreme religiosity and psychosis, which I think is an interesting one. Does anyone know of any research into this?

Christian profess faith in God. Therefore, heaven is something you have to believe in. Yet, why is heaven something we cannot get excited about? The promise of heaven is something that should commit us to really work for God. And in the process, like what Jesus did for example, if we should die in a couple of months doing the will of God, then it's great . . . we'll be with Him for eternity. Isn't that awesome ! Ah, well, hmm . . . why can't we get excited about heaven?

I got my period when I was 12 and I am now 16. I used to get it late in the month, but now I get it middle-early and it's still changing. Is this normal? And no, I'm not pregnant. I am a virgin.

Im thinking here of ill informed racists obsessed with asking loaded questions about Muslims etc, people who just tell lame jokes, people who really could have answered their own questions by a rudementary google search, and myself, I find it pretty addictive. Is this just all a waste of time?

There's this girl at my school who got saved about a year ago. Thing is, now she's out practically splashing people with holy water. Anything you do, she has a Bible verse. "Don't do that because Mark says..." it never ends. She's so adamant about judging people and telling them why they're wrong. But then she turns around and will make fun of somebody's hairstyle. It's getting mad annoying. If I make a joke, she'll say, "You shouldn't say that because Luke says..."

I'm a Christian, but I think it's wrong to go around and get on EVERYBODY for swearing or getting a tattoo or being gay or sleeping in church...I mean, nobody's perfect, so it's senseless to go around and point out everyone's fault, especially when she's gossiping about people three seconds later....it's your average holier-than-thou thing going on...what should I do?
