...but I can't help but wonder if I'm the only one who gets frustrated with this...

When I call the finance company for my SUV (HSBC), I'm on hold for what feels like years before someone with a horribly thick accent and very clipped English answers my call. More often than not, the person I get sounds as though they are of middle-eastern decent but I get a lot of asian sounding customer service reps, too.

I really don't have a problem with race or someone's nationality and I know they're entitled to a job, too...but isn't it horribly frustrating to anyone else to have to repeat yourself numerous times to these individuals or have to ask them to repeat themselves time and again because they're not making sense...especially after you've been on hold forever and a day?

I've tried asking for a supervisor at these points and the supervisors are usually sound the same as the rep I'm trying to not have to deal with. Anyone have any thoughts for how to handle this?

Since Almost all people have things to do that they do not like. We have chains in our hands.
= This is YOUR LIFE = It does not make any sense for me.
How come it is ours...when were are rulled by the some one is above. I mean kind of slavry in work and almost everywhere...

Do you think that professional's may be biased in their opinions? I am referring to accountants, doctors, dentist, solicitor, engineers, etc. Do you feel they may be expressing their knowledge that may be distorted by their training. The professional may also be fooled in thinking they are doing the right job for their client, but whereas they may be doing the wrong because they the companies/system behind them may have some hidden agenda such money, control, etc?

I really would like to know, as I am suspecting that a fairly small percentage of Americans are actually behaving like those featuring on the show... Certainly, the ones I have met are very different! But, I simply don't know. Your thoughts, e.g. Is the behaviour related to income or region?

Im a 19 year old gender queer kid from Austin Texas. i come from a very conservitive family that totally fliped out on me when i came out as being a lesbian 8 years ago. In India, some boys throw acid on the face of the girls, if she rejects his love. Don't they think it is inhuman? What if their sisters get the same treatment or themselves by the girls relatives? Some even kill the girls. Is it true love? I think true love is one which requires sacrifice.

I have been amazed at the responses I have received concerning my previous question " would you hire them back". Now the reason I asked you to thiink long and hard about it is this....the bank owner is you, the bank is your life, the best friend could be just your best friend or maybe a spouse, or gf/bf...and what they robbed you of is what you have invested in your relationship with this person, be it time, emotions , trust, or your heart. That question was to make you think, now think about the answers you have given me so far, and about your own personal lives, and values, and you can see what you would be willing to accept. So far you are all very very responsible people and wouldn't let someone take advantage of you after the first time they failed your belief in them! Can you see the meaning in this? As Martha Stewart would say " this too is a good thing" !! You folks are awesome!!
