Everyone is ignorant of something.
No one of us is as smart as all of us, I believe is the words of kevin our current highest points person.

Well the people here are mostly young and inexperienced in life so I agree and your question proves the point further because the people here do not represent everyone.
Only people who have an Internet connection and computer can be represented here. ANd the majority of users are young people. You can't overgeneralise humanity because you found morons at Yahoo!
If you were in another environment that was let 's say at a university or cutting edge compnay, you would be surrounded by different people.

I didn't need yahoo answers to figure this out. But yes I do agree the world if full of a lot of ignorant people. But are the stupid because they can't help it or stupid because they chose not to try and be anything better then the bare minimum?

All people in general? I would say yes, in comparison to the total amount of knowledge available in this world, every single person including you is ignorant. However, ignorance is subjective like that... based on knowledge of wildflowers in sub-Saharan Africa, I'm quite ignorant... but when based on knowledge of cooking or emergency medicine, I'm at least fairly knowledgeable. So, if you'd like to say "people are ignorant", depending on your definition of knowledge, it could be true... feel better?

Yes, I am surprised at the general lack of knowledge of just about everything. Even worse, the amount of misinformation out there; be it over technology, politics, and especially other cultures; is shocking.

From what I see you are pretty old( I'm only 17), and you haven't figured this thing out till now??? Sure people are ignorat, if they cared the world would be a better place, but it isn't.
