Think about it. Population growth means there are more people living in your country.

1) Do people work? Yes. So more people means more workers (labor resources).

2) Do people pay taxes? Yes. So more people means higher tax revenues for the government, which means government can pay for increased services.

3) Do people shop? Yes. So more people means more consumers to buy your goods and services.

The best advantage would be MAN POWER. increased human resources is an advantage for any cause. Increased man power, means increased in products/services made. Good for the consumer world and the growing economy!

But the problem is it's sustainment. If the country can sustain the large population its generating. if they can feed, supply the basic needs more so give medical services to its growing people. Can they give them education, teacher per student ratio adequacy? Can they give them jobs? Can society flourish or degrade if either nurtured or otherwise? There are so many problems that will arise if the threshold for the sustainment of a population is reached or surpassed. A growing poulation is good. But anyone would agree, that humans consume more than is needed, so as our population increase our resources decreases, hence sure future catastrophe. Unless, we take action!
