I have been amazed at the responses I have received concerning my previous question " would you hire them back". Now the reason I asked you to thiink long and hard about it is this....the bank owner is you, the bank is your life, the best friend could be just your best friend or maybe a spouse, or gf/bf...and what they robbed you of is what you have invested in your relationship with this person, be it time, emotions , trust, or your heart. That question was to make you think, now think about the answers you have given me so far, and about your own personal lives, and values, and you can see what you would be willing to accept. So far you are all very very responsible people and wouldn't let someone take advantage of you after the first time they failed your belief in them! Can you see the meaning in this? As Martha Stewart would say " this too is a good thing" !! You folks are awesome!!

What you said was true, some pf tje questions really had taken me back to my life. When i think about that, they really hurt me. This has helped me in a way or other to try and solve the problems of my friends, brothers, sisters also.

I had to go back and read your original question...and I liked your analogy or metaphor. It's a tough question for me. On one hand, I believe people can change...and deserve a second chance. On the other: "You burned me once; shame on you...you burned me twice; shame on me." See what I mean? It presents a dilemma for me. Since they were my friend in the first place; I probably thought highly of them. Once again, though...if they were truly my friend; they would never put me in this position in the first place. I guess I would give them a "conditional" chance until they could earn my trust back again.

So what you're saying is: Could I forgive a friend who totally wasted my time and made me suffer in some way? I can forgive, but I can't forget. I would move on, and find someone who really cared about me.
