Every spring we find a few of these really huge brown wasps in our house. I know they're queens and that they're not aggressive yet because they don't have a nest, but I can't figure out what kind of wasp it is. There is no yellow on them at all. They have really long, thin bodies that are dark brown or almost black. They're probably around three inches long, give or take.. Any ideas?

In Antarctica's Ross Sea, a fishing boat has caught what is likely the world's biggest known colossal squid (yes, that's the species' name), New Zealand officials announced today.
See more in my blog:

How do you think is there bigger squids, then this one, this one is bigger, then school bus.

I am getting several bugs on my window ledges. Tiny - about 2mm long, lady bird shape. Dark with light patches - but difficult to say as they are so small. Most are dead. Can't think where they can be coming from. Never had them before.

I run the garden department at a very large retail store. There are thousands of birds that have made the overhead racks their home. We had to throw away $100,000 of product last year because of the droppings. It also smells horrible. We pressure wash as often as we can but are fighting a losing battle.
We hung netting, tried fake owls, had a speaker that blasted hawk noises every few minuts (scared the heck out of the customers). We cant lay out poisen because PETA said they will come after us. How do I get rid of all these birds that are ruining all of my product? Not to mention making it an unpleasant place to shop.

Thanks
