Supposedly, the sky gets a greenish tint to it right before a tornado hits. This is in the big tornado states such as Kansas
and Texas. It doesn't happen every single time, though. What
causes that? A temperature inversion? Static electricity? Eagerly awaiting your answer...

I am SURE that I recall reading in a newspaper only a matter of months ago, about a country, which I cannot remember which one, was sending up special mercury bombs or something into clouds to cause rain. I KNOW I did read it.
I wonder if it worked but is continuing to send it all here by accident.

I know this sounds barmy, but what else could be causing flooding like this, I can never remember such a thing!

I've heard about this from a number of sources but no one has provided any sort of explanation. In the 1960's there were scares of an impending ice age. I'm just wondering if anyone knows why.

You always hear about the city that got 24 inches of snow in a day but never about an area that got that much so how many inches of rain is equal to 10 inches of snow?

Does anybody know how far below SEA LEVEL the fens are in the UK?

I can see the UK equivalent of New Orleans happening here with all the storms that are battering the UK.

I live on the edge of the fens and it is very worrying. Flash floods have never been this bad in my lifetime until this summer.

I recently read on a nasa site, that the sun will be peacefull in March 08, which means that loads of cosmic rays will come in andd create major cloud coverage. Does that mean we'll get loads of snow?

How com rain come down as droplets, no matter how drastic a storm is, or how gentle a rain shower is? I am quite bothered and troubled why this happens... Why couldn't it pour just as what happens when you pour out water from a mug or a dipper? I hope that you could provide answers... Thanks!

I was driving on the highway in a storm on a bridge yesterday and above my car I heard a crash and saw a flash of light all around me, simultaneously. a minute or two later my right arm started to tingle, this feeling traveled to my left arm down through my body, and then to my legs, there was nowhere to pull over, so I tried to concentrate on staying on the road. I knew I was experiencing some kind of electricity and I thought at the time my car had been struck. The heat and "burning" over my body got worse and I forced myself to raise my feet from the floor of the car and let go of the wheel. After this the semi-paralysis ebbed, but I still had limited mobility in my limbs. I shook for the next hour and was taken to the hospital to be checked out. I had no entrance or exit wounds, my car has no damage. my passenger side window was down about five inches through the whole event. What happened? If I was not struck why was I did I feel electricity go through me to such a degree?
