no! my auntie have a student and killed by a lightning. She's said that one night her student and her student friend was going somewhere (in the farm) it's raining hard and they went to a shade (coconut tree) there where the incident happen he was stuck by a lightning then bubbles is coming out from his mouth (his friend explains to the parent of the victim). His friend was in a shock and have some few injuries because he's few meters away from him. I don't know why he has injuries but they said that a current can travel from the ground. that's all I know.

Lightning can strike anywhere on the planet and if someone happens to be on the way of it they'll get struck. Some places are prone to more lightning than others but nowhere is immune.

Nope. Not true. A kid from my school got struck by lightning while walking on our track oval and died on the spot. I think his companion died too.
