Beleive it or not we're now a month into summer, not that you'd know from the weather.

Some parts of the UK aren't doing too bad, I've just spent a few days in Scotland, London and Exeter and managed to avoid the rain. Up in Scotland it was warm enough and sunny enough to get quite sunburned.

The good news is that the rain should ease over the weekend and give way to warmer and brighter conditions next week. We need some warm, dry weather to dry out this sodden land and get things back to normal.

The rain will stop when the low pressure system stuck over the UK weakens, which will be pretty soon in August. From mid-August we'll have a late summer that will be very fine and will last through September, and could well stay pleasant until Christmas. September will be a very nice month indeed.

I think by global warming they mean something else..like our winter ( in Dublin) was much softer and less rain, but now its been raining for 55 days i really dont know what to make of it, they promised like hottest summer of the century. I was so wrong not to plan any holidays this summer..nothing to look forward to..apart from rain of course..( me being sarcastic)

Rain stops depending on many reasons!!! Rain depends on the evaporation rate and pollution which causes global warming.

This is what the weather is like in the tropics. Yesterday was something straight out of Brazil or Indonesia and today is not much different. The raindrops are an impressive size are they not? I don't mind the rain that much it is the high winds that annoy me greatly.

It does stop every so often, admittedly not for long and its not very warm. I'm hoping for a later 'Indian summer' in september/october, oh and planning to get away to enjoy warmers climes elsewhere!

yea its never gonna stop :(

my friend thinks that its tony blair who controls the rain because it started around the time he steeped down as prime minister so we need to make him prime minister again (he secretly wants to come back) so he can stop the rain!

lmao

at least the nursery rhyme has come true.....

Dr foster went to Gloucester
in a shower of rain
he stepped in a puddle right up to his middle
& never went there again

I really hope it does stop soon as the UK isn't such an exciting place anyway, so we so need the sunshine to make our existence, bearable! The sunshine lifts spirits and we need all the help we can get don't we?!
