Initially a small block of wood is at a point O on a rough plane inclined at15 degrees to the horizontal. The block is projected upwars with initial speed 4ms-1. The coefficient of riction between the block and the plane is 0.1. The block comes instantaneously to rest at A. Find the distance OA and the speed of the block as it passes through O on the way back down.

I have had some real trouble with this question. I know that you have to find the acceleration yet if the mass is not given how is this possible. Thanks a lot.

ok here is the situation, I have two 3000PSI pressure washer pumps, and a gas engine, If I took both and connected them to the motor, supplied enough water flow and used a coupler to join the output on both, will I get 6000psi of water pressure or will I end up creating back pressure and possibly damaging the pums, or will I get killed in the process.

I hope someone with an engeniering degree reads this, maybe I can get a valid answer. oh and forgive me for my spelling disaster here....he he he

Ok say a car rolled down a hill that was at an angle of 30 degrees and reached a final velocity of 40mps, the same car repeated this at 40 degrees and reached 49mps, what formula/ math functions, can be used to show the relation between the angle and the speed

Down the lowest level, a chemical reaction is just the way atoms bump into each other and the way they transfer energy and electrons. That's all we are. We are a bunch of chemical reactions. Yet somehow that has created thought. Somehow that has created cognitive free will and the ability to judge situations. I feel like more than a chemical reaction, or atoms just bumping into each other. Here's another question. If the laws of physics is correct, and if all anything that happens is atoms bumping into each other, than isnt everything set in place? Wasn't everything planned by what could only happen when the Big Bang went off?
