I have no idea how to calculate free fall! What are the equations for it? And can somebody show me how to do these 2 equations:

A ball is thrown straight down with an inital speed of 20m/s. After 3 seconds, how fast is it going?

You shoot an arrow straight up at 50m/s. When will it run out of speed.

Please help!

The 1994 Winter Olympics included the aerials competition in skiing. In this event skiers speed down a ramp that slopes sharply upward at the end. The sharp upward slope launches them into the air, where they perform acrobatic maneuvers. In the women's competition, the end of a typical launch ramp is directed 58° above the horizontal. With this launch angle, a skier attains a height of 12 m above the end of the ramp. What is the skier's launch speed?

A power boat of mass 450 kg is cruising at a constant speed of 8.9 m/s. The propeller provides a drive force of 745 N. The driver of the boat shuts off the engine, and the boat coasts to a halt. Assume -- contrary to fact -- that the resistive force due to the water is constant, independent of the boat's speed.
How far does the boat coast??
How much time does it take for the boat to come to rest after the engine is turned off??

Hey. Can you help me derive these formulas using:
delta V = A (delta T)
delta X = (Initial Velocity) (Time) + (0.5) (-9.81) (time squared)

The formulas are:

(Total distance in y) = (abs value of V)^2 (sin (angle of release))^2 / (-9.81)

Height = (0.5) (abs value of V) (sin (angle of release))^2 / (-9.81)

THANKS FOR THE HELP!
