Wouldn't the earth just have to go back to the same exact place where it was at that time you want to go back to, because think of how fast we're moving. So is time travel possible at all?

I need to know the name of that thing that you see in science museums sometimes. The toys that are like it are called marble runs, but I'm looking for those cool things with tracks made of metal that have balls falling spinning and running around all over. Anyone know?

Hi. I want to make my own Xray ...
but what I really need to do is figure out how to make a voltage across two parallel plates with the stuff that i would typically find at home @

Also ...How hot would I typically have to heat something so it emits a gamma ray ..is this possible?? Do all things when heated (I know they must emit infared radiation and if they're incadescent -then some in the visual spectrum and possible UV rays if glowing more than White hot) -- but what about Radio waves to gamma rays??

Thnks.

Here is a question on my homework that is very puzzling:
So you have a 9V battery that is connected to 4 light bulbs. First is a parallel circuit with a 50w and 25w bulb. Next is a single 40w bulb, and last is a 25w bulb. What is the current that flows through these, and how does the voltage change?

A 40 g block of ice is cooled to -68°C. and is then added to 620 g of water in an 80 g copper calorimeter at a temperature of 22°C. Determine the final temperature of the system consisting of the ice, water, and calorimeter. Remember that the ice must first warm to 0°C, melt, and then continue warming as water. The specific heat of ice is 0.500 cal/g °C = 2090 J/kg°C.
_________°C

I know that antimatter exists-or used to exist, and that matter is just energy in a different state like what ice is to water, but does anti-energy exist or has it ever existed?

Hi, i have just swiched to virgin and was told by them that i will have a faster internet service and speed. Can someone tell me what speed is 11.0Mbps. Is it slow. They did say it would fluctuate from time to time because we have the internet tthrough the phonelines, (broadband).
The other day it read 54.0Mbps.
At the moment my internet is running slow, very slow. I can send an email through the post quicker.
Also, in a morning it runs rapid, so can someone explain why?
Thankyou.

I've got the deffinition of Q-factor in a laser cavity as
Q=2 x PI x energy stored in cavity / energy loss per cycle.
How do I find the energy stored in the cavity?

Basically, I've got the question:
"The output in a gas laser with a cavity length of 1m transmits 0.5% of the incident light at a wavelength of 488nm. Ignoring other losses in the system, calcuate the Q-factor of the cavity and the cavity lifetime."

(I've also got the cavity lifetime to be, Q= freq x cavity lifetime, for the last bit of the question.)

Thanks.
