It is tangent since the y value goes up by 1 for x of 150.

It will be Sin of 1/150. With reference to your angle the opposite side which is 1, for every linear distance of 150. that is your (sloping side) hypotenuse.

If one moves horizontally 150 units the vertical height raises by one unit.

The slope 'm' is tan θ = 1/150 =0.006667

θ =0.3820 degree.

If you use sin θ = 0.006667 then θ is again 0 0.3820degree

Thus for small values of slope you can use either sin θ or tan θ.

But by definition it is tan θ.
