Before i begin,
I am a screenwriter, (most of you probably know me, but I'm not going to tell you who I am) and I have recently began writting a new story and it is based on an equation able to predict the future. I found a bunch of weird da-vinci code-ish connections and facts that sorround us with math, but I would like to see if there actually is such an equation (or even a therom* for that matter, *sp?) just something that is hard hitting that I can tie into my story. I do have a really good equation that I made up myself, but it probably isn't entirely accurate and I want the smarties who watch my movie to be wowed as well. The sooner the better, thanks a bunch.

In "Back to the Future", the 1955 Doc freaks out when he finds out that he must generate 1.21 gigawatts to power his time machine. How much is 1.21 gigawatts? Like, how many regular light bulbs does that equal? Why is it unreasonable to find a source of this much energy in 1955 but not 1985?

My daughter is doing a science fair project. She is using three different size toys train sets. She is going to measure the tracks and weigh the trains and is going to time how many times they can around the track in 3 minutes. Then do comparsions. We need a "catchy title".

I was just curious whether there is a difference in horseshoe-shpaed magnets and bar magnets? Which magnet shape is generally stronger, judging from force field and strength? Have there ever been scientific studies about this?
Thanks for helping!

I thought it was called meticulation. There is a box that embroidery companies use to check if the colors of the fibers look different under different light, ie sunlight, florescent, and home lights. It may be a scientific term. However, the word I remember is not in the dictionary.

viscosity in liquids and gases is said to be caused by friction within the them, so if this was true the more preasure you applied on a confinated liquid would cause more friction within it, so it would have more viscosity.

probably i am missunderstanding the term friction.
