We need to give Einstein another 300 years to make a fair comparison.

Issac Newton
Newtonian Motion - used daily
Classical Mechanics - used daily
From that he was able to apply Kepler's Laws and establish the idea that physical laws are the same everywhere. The predictive power of his work established the validity of the scientific revolution, the acceptance of heliocentrism and the scientific principle of rational inquiry and experimentation can lead to a better understanding of nature. Non of that existed before Newton.
Dicsovered how color works
Invented the reflecting telescope
Invented Calculus among other mathematical methods.
First to calculate the speed of sound in air
Without Newton, Einstein would never had gotten started. Not that Einstein didn't contribute, but Newton, as the father science as we know it today shares credit with everything that was to come. Einstein can't say that.

It is meaningless to make this sort of comparison. Einstein's contribution was only made possible by Newton's earlier contribution, and Newton built on the knowledge of those who came before him. Today Hawkings develops theories based on the advances made by Einstein. This is why many of the most prominent scientists of our time have said that they "stand on the shoulders of giants."

depends, the work of Einstein would not be possible without first the work of Newton... classical physics was based up on Newton's observations, relative physics is based upon Einstein's... each has contributed in its own way

Newton has contributed more to science than Einstein.
But whatever Newton did, could have been done by somebody else like me.
What Einstein has done is beyond this world. If he had not done it, nobody else would have done it either.

Unquestionably Newton if you are looking at the past and
present , But I feel Einstein with have a muck greater impact on the future of mankind not just militarily. we are going to come
up with space propulsion systems that are almost infinite
from some of his theory's Gravity and anti gravity and
Magnetic theory's.Relativity has to be future wise ..above the
wheel and fire in importance.only in that it has the ability to
deprive us of our most basics...

They lived in different eras but I would have to say Newton because we will never know if Einstien could or would have been able to make the contribution he did if it was for the fact he could stand on the shoulders of the giants like Newton who preceeded him.
Good Luck!!!

I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.

Look how long it took society to finally appreciate Newton. It's way too early to see Einstein's full impact.

Newton. He invented calculus before doing ton of other stuff. Newton probably produced more important work than any living/dead scientists.
