Hi I have a special interest in this topic because one of my great great uncles was in the Bolshevik Army. Anyway Rasputin was reputed to have magical powers. These included the fact that the Royalist tried to kill him with a massive dose of cyanide poison along with shooting him in the head with a gun and than finally after he refused to die, weighing his body with chains and sending it to the bottom of the river that goes through St. Petersburg. In spite of their efforts, the police found Rasputin's body where he attempted to swim to the surface though he ultimately died of drowning. Other than a power from the Almighty, what scientifically could account for his ability to withstand death?

Psychiatrists seem to think that a perfectly "sane" individual never gets angry, never gets aggressive, never fends for himself, never express his discontent, never gets combative, never make any claims.

Psychiatrists seem to think that a perfectly "sane" individual always says yes, is always docile and mildly shy, always agree with authority, always accept any burden they might suffer, always display a plastic smile no matter what.

Come on, this is not sanity. Psychiatry is bullshit.

Hi everybody. I think I am stressing out too much about what it takes to get into pharmacy school. I am an excellent student, but worry how many extracurriculars these schools expect me to do, and when I should work in a "health related industry," and for how long. I plan to enter the Boston Marathon, so training takes a long time, and I have no other time for other extracurriulars like clubs and whatnot.

If there is anyone out there, who is in pharmacy school, or knows what it takes, I could really really use this advice about how they did it, and what I need to do. I know everyone is different, but I really need help. Thanks!

In terms of depression...are some people in life happier than others? Can an individual's mind set determine if they will be happy or are some thru genes just GOING to be unhappy?

Okay, I know that it surfaced for treatment in the 1940s and it's fungal in origin. I know that at first, they didn't have enough to treat anyone and they had to create large amounts of it. How is it made into medicine from fungus though? Is something extracted or is it ground up?

basically if i've been sleeping with my full body weight on my arm for most of the night, i wake up and i have absolutley no feeling in that arm. Its totally floppy and just feels like a lead weight attached to my shoulder. I cant do anything with the arm or my hand and fingers but as the feeling gradually comes back i get this strong tingly feeling in my arm. So is this purely because the circulation was cut off? And could this numbness ever become permanent if i were laying on my arm for long enough?
