Total amnesia is very rare, and takes trauma that is life threatening (damage to the frontal lobe). A simple knock on the noggin won't wipe a person's memory completely.

Nici,
My grandson was thrown from a horse, landed on his back, and then his head hit the ground afterwards and got temporary amnesia. He was only unconscious a couple of minutes, but the doctor said that's all it takes (enough to get knocked out and the longer their unconscious, the worse the amnesia can be).

You don't have to get hit. You can always wait untill you get older and forget everything instead of hurting yourself!!!!!!!!!!
