Apparently there is an experimental saline gradient pond, at Pyramid Salt. I have investegated this, there are 100s around the world used for generating electricity. The heat at the bottom of the pond is used to heat propane, which changes state at 70 degreses. I it is contained in a high perresure vesell, in this high pressure state it drives the blades of a turbine. Which could be of similar constuction to a turbo on an engine. This then drives an electrical anternator (a/c) or generator (d/c). also waste heat can be used to drive a distillation plant. The hot gas is then goes through a refridgeration system and returned to storage. No propane is used.

Well I am only 12 and in elementary and were doing this thing called an egg drop where you have to invent something that will save the egg from breaking/cracking when we drop it. My idea is A baby shoe with some thing soft inside and place the egg in the shoe and tied to it is a balloon that can't flow up but down.(the balloon is for the invention to flow down softly/slowly. Pleasse do not suggest new ideas just ideas to add to my "already thought of" experiment. PLEAASSE HELP!

I am graduating in December with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering. I started persuing my degree late in life, and now that graduation is approaching I am concerned about finding an entry level position related to my major.
I am 37 years old now and I do not have any experience in the Engineering field to put in my Resume', I only have my college experience.
Can anyone give me some good advice, so that I can start a career in this field that I love now more then before I started college?

There was one other common household object I used as a timer.

No electronics / electricity was involved. The kite only had one string.

What was it and how did I do it?
