if those measurements are in inches...
90 5/8 in = 7.552 feet
40 1/8 in = 3.3438 feet
7.552ft * 3.3438ft = 25.252 ft^2

40 1/8 by 90 5/8 is larger than almost all doors, if the measurements are in inches. Have you added dimensions? If so, you need to go back and calculate the areas individually, then add the areas.

Hey not so hard
Convert like this 1/8=.125" so 5/8=.625"
40.125" x 90.625" = 3636.328125sq "
lets round down to 3636.328sq"
now divide by 144 (thats the number of sq" in a sq foot)
3636.328sq" / 144 sq in/sq ft=25.25227 sq ft...
round that off to
************** 25.25 sq ft **************
(LxW) / Conversion unit=answer
and your done..Good luck with the windows From the E

You are confused by the units of measurement. Linear means a straight line, ft. Sq stands for squared like ft * ft = ft^2 that is the area. Furthermore ft*ft*ft = ft^3 or cubic foot as in volume. You are looking to measure the area of the window (sq ft or ft^2) so that is its lenght multiplied by its width. I am assuming that the dimensions you are giving are in inches. To calculate this into ft divide the numbers by 12 before you multiply them. 40 1/8in / 12 in/ft = 3.34 ft and 90 5/8in / 12in/ft = 7.55 ft. So your windows dimensions are 3.34 linear feet (ft) by 7.55 linear feet (ft) and its area is 3.34 ft * 7.55 ft = 25.22 sq ft (ft^2). Get it?

A linear foot is largely the comparable as saying one foot. In maximum DIY (do it your self) shops alongside with homestead depot or Lowe's, linear photos is used with the point to sell or cost a product it fairly is attainable in non-frequently occurring lengths. One easy occasion is crown molding or carpet. as an example, a shop could sell you a 10-foot-long strip of carpet for 10 money, or a fifteen.30-foot-long strip for $15.30, etc. So fairly, to calculate linear photos - purely degree the wall(s) (molding being the occasion) and upload at the same time. So a room measuring in at 10 via 12 could be 10ft + 10ft + 12ft +12ft = 40 4 Linear ft. **word: sq. photos is calculated via multiplying length circumstances width.

Simply multiply the two together to get square feet. But that looks like they are in inches so then divide the answer by 144.
This comes out to be 25.25 ft^2.

I am assuming for the windows that the units you gave are inches. When you multiply the two you will have square inches. Divide that by 144 and that will give you square feet.
