There are lots of jobs out there for instrumentation and control types, and in every industry including power, refinery, chemical, brewing, material handling, mining, aeronautical, defense and etc, etc.
All mechanical and electrical systems require their own specific instrumentation and control systems in order to function efficiently, including piping, hydraulic, and electrical distribution, and every major construction company has a major need for people to design and install those systems. In addition as newer technological advances in instrumentation occur ther is a big business in reworking and modernizing older systems.
