for a building I have already designed for university I must show how I could do the following using technical detailing and drawings.
1. Provide Thermat Comfort
2.Use Solar energy for space heating and hot wate
3.educe consumption of mains water
4.Minimise electrical use
5. minimise ecological impact
6. Minimise embodied energy in building materials

Does anyone know whee I could find examples of technical detailing on these subjects - I am really struggling

When I took apart my cordless telephone because of some buttons worked poorly, I found what I thought to be a liquid on the circuit board that the buttons contact when pushed. At first I thought the phone may have had something spilled on it, or it was in some sort of liquid. I now thing this is a type of electrical conductive compound. If so, I need to purchase some.

Well i want to huck up my TV to my computer but it uses composit video and i have an S-video port on you computers so i found this simple scematic

It uses one 10v or more 470 pF (ceramic) capacitor. But i cant find one on radioshacks site (i was just going to go pick one up) But they did have a 0.0047µF (ceramic) capacitor.

And since i dont know the value difrence betwen pF and µF i tought it might be th same.

I have a hole contaner of capaciters down in my shop, Is ther a way to find out there values using a voltometer.

We make portable consumer electronic products, and the battery contacts have been plated with hex chrome. With that eliminated in Europe by RoHS requirements we need a good substitute.
Trivalent chromium may have the same problems
Gold is too expensive.
Silver tarnishes.
Stainless steel works but is hard to form.
What other material can be plated on spring steel contacts that conducts well and resists corrosion at a price for consumer products?

The phone digit 1 is a combination of 2 frequencies.
1209hz + 697hz

Now, if you had 2 seperate speaker that played each frequency, would you hear the combination of the 2 frequencies, or would you be able to make a distinction?

I gues the answer would depend on the speakers placement proportional to your ears.
If they were at the exact same distance, it would appear as the combination. If there was any deviance to the placement of the speakers, then you would be able to differentiate the signals.

I believe that to be true. I just wish I had the equipment.
