why it is not possible to operate FET in forward biased region?

why in case of n-channel FET gate to source biasing is always reverse biasing what would be effect of forward biasing on FET

A forward bias would swamp out the channel current with gate current. Moreover, the channel would be uncontrolled, so waht's the point of doing that?
