When I took apart my cordless telephone because of some buttons worked poorly, I found what I thought to be a liquid on the circuit board that the buttons contact when pushed. At first I thought the phone may have had something spilled on it, or it was in some sort of liquid. I now thing this is a type of electrical conductive compound. If so, I need to purchase some.

I have never seem them put a liquid under them type of keys. The conductiveness is in the little gray dot molded to the bottom of the rubber butions. Most likely that liquid is acualy what is making it not work, Then agin i dont know for shere what im talking about.

Not sure but I think it is silicone grease ,and it is non conductive greas. It main function is to prevent oxidation . It is available in most electronic parts places, The problem is if it gets dirt in it then becomes the problem.
