Hi,

I am looking for a source of tiny (e.g. 2mm x 1mm x 1mm) surface mount
leds that blink.

I know that circuits can be constructed for this purpose but I assume
that if you can buy larger bulb type leds that flash that the work may
already have been done and miniaturized for a surface mount product.

The flash length and dwell time is not really important to the purpose.

Thanks for any leads :)

A firefighter friend of mine has this question. If they had a tank 8'diam x 13' long with a 6" diam line from it down to the ground, what would the flow be when they open the valve? The bottom of the tank would be 11' off the ground, it is a gravity fed system. Assume two 90s for fittings, standard cs pipe (if required), I don't need it to the thousandth of a gpm :)

a) What is the flow (gpm) from the tank when full?
b) What is the flow (gpm) from the tank with 1" of level?
c) What is the time to empty the tank completely (starting from full)?

Thanks all.

Features I need are:
1. Structural carbon steel construction for welded installation in 12-inch steel pipe.
2. One swivel axis, with at least one single row ball bearing with hardened steel tracks.
3. Sealing surfaces shall be stainless steel to protect against corrosion.
4. Seal replacement, ball replacement, and relubrication is possible without removing the swivel from the pipeline.

Does such a thing exist?

There is a very long suspension bridge is the Humber Estuary bridge in England, just short of 1 mile long between the supports. The two towers are not quite parallel. They are 1.375 inches farther apart at the tops than at the bottoms. Why?

I have always been told that two or three statndard building 2x4's are exponentially higher in strength than its stand alone comparison- (the total is greater than sum or it parts) and an answer is usefull not only for building knowelege but as an analogy for teamwork- this is my currenmt interest in this factiod, so I can use it in a presentation that is stressing strenght in numbers. Thank you in advance! (ps. spent 1/2 hour on the web and cannot find)

I've heard that 7018 rods should be used within 4 hours of opening. I have a tube that has been opened for longer than that and probably exposed to the atmosphere for longer. I don't have a rod oven, but my "home oven" goes up to 500 degrees and I've read that 500 degrees for an hour will do the trick. I am concerned about fumes from the flux, but other than that I see no reason why I should not be able to "rebake" these rods in my home oven.

Please list any sources you find or know of.

Thanks for your help in advance!
