It basically means what it says. its to do the opposite of manufacturing a product. i am currently studying to be an engineer and i had to demanufacture a product. The advantages of this are to see how a product is manufactured and what steps are taken in order to see how a product is manufactured. This helps a lot in engineering. Had to do a thirty page report on it. Ouch.......
