I applied yesterday. I'm stilly deathly afraid that I'm not going to do well. I'm sorry but I have to ask again... How smart were you in high school?
My marks are like 87 math, and 82 physics
I not really proud of either, especially physics
I take calc next semester, along with chem

You can't even being to imagine how much I'm freaking out about university.

I'm using an idea from the book "Vaccum Bazookas, Electric Rainbow Jelly, and 27 other Saturday Science Projects" by Neil A. Downie.

I'm making a "string nutcracker", which involves using string tension (or something like that) to generate large forces, capable of crushing a tough almond or probably something even tougher than that. I don't really understand the design really, and was wondering if there was anyone who had experience w/ this project and knew what materials i need. It says in the directions "tough wood" and other materials but it doesn't say how many feet or whatever. Thanks.

The Yahoo community helped greatly to select the size of the materials to build a 2nd florr for my shed. 2 X 6 beams with 3/4 inch plywood is what I will use.

Question: With 2 X 6 beams, I assume I will need 8 " nails to secure the beams to the wood frame. How many nails on each end to lay the beams?

Also, what size nails or screws to secure the flooring to the 2 X 6 beams?
