Here's another situation. This time you predict what might happen! In Australia there used to be a lot of sugar cane plantations. These sugar cane plantations were plagued by a beetle known as the Frenchie Beetle. In order to control the Frenchie Beetle, plantation owners introduced a giant species of toad known as the cane toad that they hoped would eat the beetles. Unfortunately, the cane toad was not at all interested in eating the Frenchie Beetles. However they proved very adept at surviving in the Australian wilderness and their numbers soon multiplied. It turns out their skin has a mild toxin in it, so when the Australian predators tried to eat them they got violently sick and often died. Right now, there are an enormous number of these toads.

What do you think is going to happen in the future? Draw on Darwin's ideas to explain your prediction.

Blood that is 100% saturated with oxygen carries 105 cm^3 of oxygen in 1 dm^3 (litre) of blood.

Calculate the volume of oxygen released from 1 dm^3 of blood when that has become 90% saturated.

Now This is how i didn the question

100% ---> 105
90% ----> x

x= 90 x 105/100%

x= 94.5 dm^3

this may be wrong... Any suggestions into solving this problem would be very helpful. I have search in 4 texted books btw and no luck.
