If mutations only cause the loss of genetic material, and evolution is based on mutations. How is it that we humans have much more DNA than say, a fish? Maybe we really didn't evolve?

What are the possibilities of offspring blood grouping with a father being A neg & myself being AB positive.

Purely a curiosity thing for my 10yr old son & 12 yr old daughter who really dont want a blood test or anything more than a guideline to an answer.

I'm a guy and I know that I can't freaking get to sleep if I hear my dad snoring. I feel like crazy gluing snorers noses. I mean, how can women sleep when their hubbies snore? Or is it because they are women, that they have some biological mechanism that blocks out snoring, letting them sleep. I wouldn't think there's any evolutionary purpose...it would only let other cavemen/predators know where you are, making it easy for them to prey on you.

I, myself, think that snoring is only something that modern man does. I don't think men in prehistoric times grew to be fat or old enough to snore. Or is it only to do with the throat/windpipe, meaning that totally fit athletes snore as well?

Wouldnt evolution favor a race that can produce more rapidly with more offspring. I believe so, but this seems to be going against what evolution has done for the human race, as well as others like the sperm whale.

If we drink a glass of water with lemon added, although the lemon is acid, health people say it makes our bodies (at a cellular level), more alkaline by leaving an alkaline 'ash' - so then, what does alkaline water do to us? I see lots of companies selling drops that turn your drinking water to p.H. 9 - but surely if the acidic lemon has an alkaline effect, does the alkaline water have an acid effect on our bodies?
