A good researcher is a person who likes detail and is very adept at keeping meticulous records.
This type of work does not allow for allow for any inconsistencies and every procedure he performs must be documented and exact. The reason for this being that it must give the same results when done again if it is something which is a viable product.
A good researcher is usually a person who likes to work alone because there is less room for error if one person is doing something as opposed to two or more.
