Let's say, for an animal it is essential to have a long tale, the longer the better. So, the tale is going to get longer in the following generations until it reaches optimal length or environment changes, so long tale is not required anymore. No problem.
But what about eye? It's a very complicated thing. I cannot accept that animal without eyes can have it in the following generation complete and ready. So it will take multiple generations to get from blind predecessors to guys with functioning vision, with ability to distinguish light and darkness at least.
So, generations 'in between' won't have a vision and won't have any evolutionary benefits, instead these unlucky will own a completely useless and redundant system that doesn't work.
So it looks like the mother nature is able to foresee multiple plies in future?

A female's nipples? I saw a CSI episode the other day that involved that. I know they make mistakes but I was curious.

Do/can liquids get absorbed through a female's nipples? A male's? What about a male's penis?

I'm thinking about having mine surgically removed. Then if evolution kicks in, my sons won't have them.

I'm 18, female.

The only thing I can imagine I took after my father is his dark eye color (although the shape is 100% mom) and his dark hair color (although the hair texture is 100% mom)

Everyone says I look identical to my mother... and that my sister looks like my dad. I look absolutely NOTHING like my father... I can't find any similarities in the facial structure at all! Nothing...

He is short... 5'9" My mother is tall... 5'11" and I'm 5'11" so I took after my mother's height.

Personality-wise, my mother is exactly like me: shy, calm, and my father is outgoing, loud..

My mother has a very high metabolism, just like me... no matter how much we eat, we're always skinny. My dad on the other side, eats quite alot... and he's overweight.

Also I seem to have the same skin type as my mother's... not genetically prone to acne. My father had SEVERE acne from ages 13 to 18... and I haven't had a single breakout in my life.

I reead somewhere that a person can die if they tie a rope or something around their neck and masturbate with it tied around their neck. Does anybody know what this is? Or what it's called?

I was wondering what happens if you were to take the seeds from a pickle and plant them.. Would you grow cucumbers, pickles or nothing at all?

My question is intended to be one beyond a vague philosophical idea. Self organizing systems in nature seem to indicate a type of memory.

What do Biologists think of media representations of cloning. They really p**s me off. You know when they clone someone on a tv show and the clone is an exact replica! They don't realise that a clone would form as an embryo and take just as long to develop. Anyone give me good and bad examples of media representation of cloning technology?

My question is really to determine if life, however viable, will occur if either the ova or the sperm has any variation of chromosonal defects? What if profound chromosonal abnormalities or absences thereof exist? Will conception take place?

I've read that the ratio of people with dimples (in their cheeks) to those without is 1:11. But some people only have one, and apparently this is rarer. Why is this and what's the ratio of people with two dimples to those with only one?
