Two different questions are loaded in here - person is one judgment and not part of a woman's body is another. Better dichotomy would have been not part with independent entity, leaving out the question of personhood=soul
Up to a certain point, the fetus can not survive if released from the attachment to the mother. That is when viability and abortion complications apply for me.
But a fetus can be sufficiently different from the mother as to cause reactions in that pregnancy or the next one - Rh negative reaction.

When that heart beats you pretty much have another living being. That's just logic.

Religious people are on another kick entirely, because they prefer to throw them out in the trash, instead of stem cell research that could save millions.

What difference does it make unless you're religious zealot who would kill to prevent killing?

It takes religion to make a good person do evil things...
